As we all know Papaya is a delicious fruit . Pulp of Papaya is soft and it's colour is orange. It is eaten when ripe. Christopher Columbus called Papaya the fruit of the angels. Mostly shape of papaya is spherical or pear. It can grow as long as 20 inches. Now a days we also find a variety of Papaya which is seedless.
Papaya should be included in the daily diet becase other than this Papaya contains an enzyme called Papain which is helpful in digesting proteins. It is also a rich sources of antioxidants such as Vitamin B, Vitamin C, Carotenes, folate and pantothenic acid. It is also a source of minerals such as potassium and magnesium. In addition to this, the fibre in Papaya promote the health of cardiovascular system and protect against the colong cancer. It also contains bromelain an enzyme which helps in treating allergies, sports injuries and other causes of trauma.
The other important benefit of Papaya is that it prevents oxidation of cholesterol because of presence of Vitamin E and Vitamin C in it. These two vitamins unite to produce an enzyme called Paraoxonase that inihibits HDL and LDL cholesterol oxidation. Vitamin A and C are needed for proper functioning of a healthy immune system. To prevent illnesses such as recurrent ear infections, colds and flu one should eat Papaya regularly. Papaya is also good for eyes.

The fiber in Papaya lower high cholesterol level. The folic acid in Papaya is required for conversion of homocysteine into benign amino acids such as cysteine ortheionine. If the conversion does not take place homocysteine can directly damage blood vessel walls therby increasing the risk of heart attack or stroke.
Papaya is useful in for treating inflammation. Papain and chymopapain have shown through studies their ability to lower inflammation and to improve healing from burns.
Papaya is also used to aide beauty. Take pulp of Papaya which is bit over-ripe. Apply it on face and wash after 10 minutes. The skin will look fresh and soft to touch.
So it is recommended to have this wonderful fruit regularly to keep diseases at bay and attain good health.
